I want to thank everyone who came by the booth at this years Southeastern Wildlife Expo. We were exhibiting under our "other name" of LOWCOUNTRY FISH... same signs, different subjects.

An Attic Treasure

I didn't have to go far to find this treasure.
Ossie and I are only the second owners of our 1950 house and in the attic were a few interesting boxes left under piles of dust and insulation. In the very bottom of the very last box (also about the time I was about to ditch everything), I stumbled on what is now my favorite wall hangings ever. These are the original hand drawn plans to our home... perfectly yellowed and aged! A few great frames from the ever faithful IKEA and our dining room has FABULOUS and completely original artwork.

When you don't have Art

I want a LARGE piece of art for behind our headboard and since I know I will contemplate that decision for way too long, I decided to spruce up the wall to hold me over. The pattern began as a two tone rectangle design and just kept growing more rectangles. Fun accent wall with just tape & paint.

Don't We All Have Days Like This?

This sign sums up my afternoon with Boudreau. He has a stealth-like gift for sneaking pillows and blankets out the door... all unnoticed (until too late!)

All things water

The August heat brings on constant thoughts of water and has started showing up in my latest paintings. Inspired by the love of weekend boating, this nautical map documents our beautiful Charleston Harbor and the surrounding areas. I find it complements any decor style and is a timeless subject matter for an art piece.

An Updated Monogram

was never really the "monogram" type of girl... but this one I can pull off.  Using old boards that were reclaimed from a neighbor's renovation, I pieced together two and started layering paint colors.
